Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 24 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Travel bservation MS RN - Days - Deaconess Gateway AUTO OFFER NO LOCAL CANIDATES (40 MILE RADIUS RULE) Contract Length : 13 weeks Start : 11 / 10 Guaranteed Hours : 36 (Will accept 48s upon request) OT after 52hrs on 48hr contracts Primary location : Gateway Shift Requirement : 12hr Days 6 : 30-7 Float Requirement : First to float within skillset. Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible. On Call / Call Back Requirement : N / A Weekend / Holiday Requirement : Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday. Required Certs to be attached upon submittal : Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS and NIHSS Minimum Experience REQUIRED : Two years of strong Med / Surg, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience. Charting Experience : Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class) Patient Population : Chest pain, abdominal pain, flank plank, CVA / TIA, generalized weakness / awaiting placement / geri-psych placement. Skillset : PIV insertion, stables drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills! Unit Information (Bed size, Case type, Patient ratio) : 32 beds. Ratio : Days 1-4 : 5; NOCs 1 : 5-7; Excellent LPN and CNA support. CN rarely takes patients on days, but takes assignment on NOC shift. Unit Strengths : Excellent teamwork with support of fantastic LPNs and CNAs. Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates Scrub Colors : Navy blue scrubs - No competing health systems or agency logos
