Job description

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine is seeking highly talented anesthesiologists to provide anesthesia care at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in anesthesiology and possess or qualify for an unrestricted medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Fellowship training or substantial experience in obstetric anesthesiology is required.

General and obstetric position
Schedule : physician daylight coverage M-F 6 : 30 AM - 3 : 30 PM (General); M-F 6 : 30 AM - 7 : 30 PM (OB)
Call : All days - beeper call and in-house OB call, 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM
CRNA supervision, 3 : 1 concurrency target
Hospital has 16 anesthesiologists and 45 CRNAs
Academic appointment : yes
