Senior Accounting Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Operations Specialist to manage high-volume financial transactions and support accurate monthly closes. This role balances transactional accounting with process improvement and investigative analysis, helping ensure data integrity and operational efficiency across the finance team. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of up to $37 / hr.

Key Responsibilities :

• Process and reconcile daily financial transactions, returns, and cash receipts for sponsored accounts and departments
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, unidentified receipts, and wire inquiries
• Reconcile high-volume accounts and contribute to the accuracy of the monthly close process
• Monitor key financial metrics using dashboards and reporting tools
• Maintain audit-ready records and support internal and external audits
• Assist with special accounting projects, identify opportunities for workflow improvement, and support internal training initiatives
