Job Title : Machinist – CNC / Manual (Mastercam Experience Preferred)
Location : Kiel, Wisconsin
Pay Range : $25.46 – $29.41 / hour (depending on skill; higher pay possible)
Type : Full-Time
About the Role :
We are seeking skilled machinists with experience in both CNC and manual operations to join our client's machine shop team. Ideal candidates are recent graduates of a 2-year CNC Technician program or journey-level Machinists / Tool & Die Makers. Mastercam experience is highly desirable. You will operate and program machines to produce high-quality precision parts, contributing to a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.
What You’ll Do :
Operate manual and CNC mills, lathes, presses, and grinders.
Program machines using Mastercam and other CNC software.
Produce parts to exact specifications while maintaining high quality standards.
Inspect parts with precision measuring tools and ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications :
Associate degree in CNC Technology, Machine Tool Technology, or related field preferred, or journey-level Machinist / Tool & Die Maker.
2–4 years of machinist experience with CNC programming, setup, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in G-code, M-code, CAD / CAM software (Mastercam preferred).
Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
Skilled with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
Physical Requirements :
Frequently stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift over 100 lbs.
Ability to use hands, reach, climb, balance, and maintain focus on detailed work.
Work near moving machinery in a typically loud environment.
