Job Details :

Must start on 12 / 15 / 2025

Patient ratio of 5 : 1 for days, nights, and weekends

Weekend coverage required with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

One call shift required per 6-week schedule

40 hours of orientation provided

Daily census of 10-13 patients across 13 rooms / beds

Care for adult and geriatric patient populations

Must have 2 years of experience in service line

Travel experience preferred

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Must maintain distance of at least 150 miles from facility

Experience with patient diagnoses including post-op, ortho, diabetes, pneumonia, wound care, CBI, and URO cases

Skills required include accessing / managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draws, telemetry, wound care, PCA pumps, and various other medical-surgical nursing competencies

Allscripts / Altera charting system experience preferred

Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions only)

Facility conducts mandatory drug screen upon arrival including marijuana testing

Must complete required lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer

Hard document deadline : Thursday 2pm CST prior to start date

Non-billable modules completed during orientation (6-8 hours average)

This medical center operates a 13-bed medical-surgical unit providing comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services. The unit specializes in post-operative care, orthopedic cases, diabetes management, pneumonia treatment, and wound care without telemetry monitoring or cardiovascular drips.
