THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for the review, verification, and clearance of all available criminal history data of individuals in need of an assessment. Your work will involve reviewing and verifying criminal history documentation to determine the disposition of criminal charges, including juvenile and out-of-state charges. This will often require you to communicate with law enforcement agencies and courts to clear dispositions. You will also compute and review sentence computations and parole board recommitment action changes. Your duties will include collecting information from various sources to maintain inmate records and reviewing court orders to determine the appropriate course of action as it relates to release, change in place of confinement, or commitment credit. Additionally, you will respond to inquiries from inmates, DOC staff, and other agencies regarding completed sentence structures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework : You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week with approval from your supervisor after the successful completion of your probationary or training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
