JOB SUMMARY
Plans, organizes, and implements social work services for patients and families to address patient and family needs for terminally ill patients and families.
Provides professional psychosocial support for terminally ill patients to maintain their comfort and quality of life. A Social Worker in end of life care must demonstrate : keen observation skills, high ethical standards, critical thinking skills, compassion, attention to detail, organizational skills, calm under pressure, patience, and compassionate communication skills.
