Night Shift Position for busy Level I Operating Room Trauma Center

The Operating Room RN is an integral part of the team of practitioners providing surgical care to patients. They help to facilitate surgical procedures, ensure that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly and that the patient safety is maintained. He / she is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.

Will learn to both circulate and scrub in this role.

▪ Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred. Three years experience preferred.

▪ Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license or limited permit. ▪ Obtains and maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Some departments require additional certifications. Experience :

▪ Ability to improve job performance through continuing education.

▪ Possesses knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques and demonstrates ability to apply in an operating room setting.
