Job Details

Responsibilities :

• Utilizes crisis and / or de-escalation intervention practices, when necessary and appropriate, with clients whose behavior cannot be otherwise supported without such interventions.
• Assists in the application and removal of restraints when deemed necessary by appropriate personnel and ensures the physical and emotional health and safety of the patient when using such methods.
• Identifies patient characteristics and environmental variables that may trigger agitated behavior(s) and communicates such information to the interdisciplinary team.
• Performs observation and monitoring of assigned patients on a one-to-one basis. Document observations on forms and / or computerized patient record as per policy.
• Performs patient checks / rounds as required, and reports observations, interactions and patient activity to assigned nursing staff. Document observations on forms and / or computerized patient record as per policy.
• Communicates clinical matters to assigned RN or other professional staff as required..
• Accurately performs / records procedures (Full vital signs, WT)
• Accurately performs EKGs
• Safely assists with ADL's, with Psychiatric Emergencies / RRTs
• Interacts therapeutically / respectfully with all patients, their family members and staff.
• Promotes positive working relationships with peers and others.

USD $25.62 - USD $32.32 / Hr.
