Responsibilities :

• The Patient Account Registrar interviews the patient or his / her representative to obtain patient demographics.
• This position also secures insurance information, eligibility, benefits and authorizations as applicable.
• Works closely with all facets of the Admitting department including PBX operator function and reception areas.
• Must be able to operate a computer to input and retrieve data.
• Ability to communicate with the population served, utilizing age specific techniques from neonatal, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle adult to geriatrics.
• Maintain proficiency in medical terminology.

Pay Transparency :

St. Mary's General Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $16.30. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
