Network Engineer- Routing and Switching

JSI invites you to join our team as a Network Engineer – Routing and Switching on our Network Engineering Services team, where you'll play a critical role in advancing broadband and telecommunications initiatives that expand connectivity and drive digital inclusion—while advancing your career within a mission-driven, growth-focused organization.

Position Overview :

This person will work in service provider networks to assist with new deployments, system upgrades, migration projects, and resolving network issues. This person will also be responsible for setting up, configuring, and deploying service provider routers, switches, and firewalls. They will also create and maintain documentation, so strong communication and documentation skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of new network solutions and enhance existing infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot network issues, resolve outages, and perform root cause analysis.
• Assist with network upgrades, patches, and maintenance to ensure security and optimal performance.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement scalable network solutions.
• Maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams and configuration details.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for network security and reliability.
• Provide technical support and respond to service requests from clients or internal teams.
• Bridge the technical knowledge gap by breaking down complex network deployments and protocols into understandable content for non-expert team members.
