About the Role
As a Registered Nurse at Parrish Healthcare, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional nursing care tailored to our diverse patient population. Under the guidance of our Executive Director, Director, or Clinical Coordinator, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Your commitment to the Person- and Family-Centered Care Model will ensure that families are integral partners in the care process, fostering an environment of mutual trust and respect.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Assessments : Conduct physical and psychosocial assessments, record patient histories, and monitor changes in conditions.
- Medication Administration : Safely administer medications and treatments using bar code scanning and evidence-based safety procedures.
- Care Coordination : Lead the care plan development and daily care coordination with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Team Leadership : Supervise and delegate tasks to Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and other healthcare personnel.
- Critical Thinking : Utilize problem-solving skills to implement effective patient care and treatments.
- Effective Communication : Engage with co-workers, physicians, patients, and families to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Documentation : Maintain clear and concise documentation of nursing care in accordance with accepted standards.
- Patient Education : Assess health literacy and provide tailored education to empower patients and families in their health decisions.
- Quality Improvement : Participate in quality monitoring and incorporate evidence-based practices into daily care.
- Safety Awareness : Understand and adhere to fire, disaster, and safety procedures relevant to the work area.
RequirementsFormal Education
Graduate of an accredited RN education program; Associate Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor Degree preferred.Work Experience
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.Licenses and Certifications
Current State of Florida RN license.BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (must be obtained through the AHA).For Med / Telemetry : BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and ACLS required.Benefits of Joining Our Team
