Description
The Shilo Management Corporation is looking for an Accounting Supervisor to join our Corporate Office team. As the Accounting Supervisor, your job will be to :
- Oversee the implementation of a cloud-based Sage 300 financial accounting computer system including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and Fixed Asset management.
- You will develop bank reconciliations and other month-end general ledger reconciliations.
- Review and prepare, as necessary, journal entries and ensure proper general ledger coding in support of monthly closings.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial statements and the month end closing.
- Oversee the daily processing of vendor invoices submitted for payment and ensure that invoices are processed accurately and within terms.
- You will monitor cash flow and release checks to vendors as appropriate.
- Manage corporate checking account and supervise Accounts Payable employees.
- Ensure Shilo & vendor privacy is respected and confidential.
- Always portray and maintain a friendly and positive Shilo attitude.
Responsibilities also include but are not limited to :
Assist with inquiries from vendors which require responses that exceed the authority of Accounts Payable Clerks.Oversee the resolution of complex computer problems resulting from system errors.Prepare invoices submitted by General Ledger Department for data entry by assigning vendor codes.Verify cash requirement report and return to data entry clerk for printing of checks.Verify and disburse payments for mortgage and land contracts.Issue stop payments as required and code voided checks for data entry.Requirements
