Must-Have :Description :
The Emergency Department is a free-standing facility.
It has 24 beds with a staffing ratio of 1 : 4.
The department handles a variety of patient diagnoses, including pediatric patients, with about 15% of visits being pediatric cases.
The registered nurse will take on roles that encompass both respiratory therapy and pharmacy tasks due to the absence of these services on-site.
Key responsibilities include performing breathing treatments, managing chest tube set-up and care, and administering CPAP / BiPAP.
Additional procedures include rapid sequence intubation, sedation, trach care, and vent management.
The nurse will also be responsible for blood product administration, cardioversion / defibrillation, obtaining 12-lead EKGs, and interpreting telemetry.
The role requires managing drains and feeding tubes, as well as accessing and caring for PICC lines and other vascular devices.
The ideal candidate should possess solid skills in phlebotomy and triage, particularly for ventilated patients.
The position requires candidates to be prepared for interdisciplinary support and able to manage a diverse patient population within the scope of emergency care.
