Region III Facilities :

Primary : St. Anthony Hospital – Gig Harbor, WA

Float as needed : St. Michael Medical Center – Silverdale, WA

Float Pay : Additional $20 / hr when floated to another Region III facility.

Unit Details – St. Anthony Hospital ED

Beds / Trauma Bays : 21

Fast Track : 4 beds

Triage : Separate area; travelers allowed after several months

ED Holds : Intermixed; inpatient staff may assist; ED covers if floors are short

Psych Rooms : None

Security : In-house

Patient Volume : ~109 patients / day

Ratios : 4 : 1

Required Certifications

RN License (WA)

ACLS, BLS

TNCC

PALS or ENPC

NRP preferred

Patient Types

60 yrs

General ED, Trauma Level IV

Code Neuro

STEMI patients transferred out

Required Experience / Skills

Strong ED RN skills

Critical drips experience

Ability to read cardiac rhythms (no monitor techs)

Staffing

Providers : ED Physicians (no mid-levels)

Charge Nurse : 24 / 7

House Supervisor : 12p–8a M–F; 24 hrs Sat / Sun

Support Staff : Sitters, CNAs, ER Techs; RNs may assist as sitters

Equipment & Services

EMR : EPIC

RT : Manages CPAP / BiPAP & ABGs

ECGs : Done by ER Techs and RNs

Imaging : CT / X-ray next to ED; ED may transport

Labs : Mostly nurse draw; lab assists at times

Telemetry : Yes; RNs interpret strips

Scheduling

Shift : 6a–6p, every other weekend

Float : First to float

Holidays : Required

Call / Standby : None

Navy blue scrubs (RN)
