Our Office has an immediate opening for an enthusiastic, highly organized, Bridge Project Manager to join our experienced team of engineers and designers. The ideal candidate should possess a “can-do” attitude, strong verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work independently as well as with a team in a dynamic, fast paced, and innovative consulting firm. The position includes opportunities for personal and professional development and growth.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, (MS preferred)
  • P.E. License in CT (preferred)
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years of technical and project management experience in the design of transportation and infrastructure projects in the US
  • Understanding of AASHTO, AREMA and other national and local structural design codes and standards
  • Experience in the design and management of bridge / structure projects for regional transportation clients
  • Strong oral presentation, communication, and teamwork skills are essential

Skills & Abilities :

  • A self-starter with the ability to form project teams and manage multiple and concurrent projects / assignments
  • Strong technical and project management skills
  • Solid background in every facet of bridge projects from condition inspection to concept development, preliminary and final design phases and construction support services
  • Must be proficient and have experience in structural analysis and modeling as well as development of final drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

    • Responsibilities :

  • Lead the preliminary and final design of bridge structures
  • Play a key role in the growth of AI’s local bridge / structural team and establishment of a robust bridge / structures design practice
  • Identify new project opportunities and assist with the development of technical proposals
  • Provide QA of projects through understanding of the project goals and the client’s expectation
