Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in Conyers. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinical operations, and supporting physicians with routine examinations and procedures. EPIC experience is strongly preferred, with a balanced focus on front and back office responsibilities. This role offers an initial 3-month contract with the possibility of permanent placement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program
  • Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (CPR certification required)
  • EPIC EMR experience strongly preferred
  • At least one year of medical assisting experience
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and basic computer skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and manage patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations
  • Escort patients to discharge and assist with patient check-out
  • Obtain patient histories, assess / triage, and record vital signs accurately
  • Explain treatment procedures and prepare patients and exam rooms for examinations
  • Position instruments and assist physicians during procedures
  • Clean, sterilize, and maintain medical instruments and equipment after use
  • Complete medical charts with services, test results, and supplies used
  • Conduct patient call-backs, coordinate referrals, testing, and follow-up scheduling
  • Support registration staff and perform clerical duties as needed
