Mammography Technologist

Department :   Breast Health

Schedule : Full Time Days, Monday through Friday 8 hour shifts, start time 7a / 8a and one weekend shift per month

Facility :   Prime St Mary of Nazareth Hospital

Location : Chicago, IL

Sign on Bonus :   Up to $10,000.00

The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic mammograms and assisting radiologists in breast imaging procedures. This role ensures high-quality images are obtained for accurate diagnosis while providing compassionate patient care in compliance with Illinois state regulations and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities :

Perform specialized radiographic imaging procedures under the general supervision of the Director of Radiology Services to assist radiologists in diagnosis and treatment.

Provide direct patient care with compassion and professionalism.

Participate in facility quality assurance and safety programs.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Assist with complex and sensitive patient and family concerns.

Deliver safe, high-quality care to patients of all ages.

Qualifications :

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1.      Licensure and / or fluoroscopy permit as required by State.

2.      Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program accredited by JRCERT.

3.      Current ARRT certification.

4.      Advanced certification in the field of Mammography.

5.      Current experience as a radiology technologist.

6.      Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.

7.      Current BCLS (AHA) certification.

8.      Comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards.

9.      Ability to travel to all imaging facilities both regularly and without notice.

10.    Experience in Hospital Information Services (HIS) / Radiology Information System (RIS).
