The Automotive Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of automotive product quality meet established standards throughout the production process. This role involves inspecting parts, testing functionality, and collaborating with engineering teams to promote quality improvements. - Conduct regular inspections of automotive suspension components and systems to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform tests on suspension, products and systems using diagnostic tools and software to identify defects or malfunctions.
- Document findings and prepare reports on quality issues, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot problems and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Participate in root cause analysis and team discussions focused on quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide training to production staff on quality standards and proper practices.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends related to automotive quality assurance.
- Assist with internal audits to ensure adherence to quality management systems.
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
ASE Certified in Mechanics, Automotive Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.2-5 years of experience in automotive quality control or a similar role.Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and methodologies.Familiarity with inspection and testing equipment, tools, and software.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.Willingness to travel occasionally to supplier locations for audits or inspections.Preferred Skills
