Job Title :   Mammography Technologist

Job Requirements :

Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations using specialized imaging equipment in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols.

Position patients properly to obtain high-quality images while ensuring comfort, privacy, and minimal radiation exposure.

Operate and maintain digital mammography and related imaging systems, performing quality control checks to ensure equipment accuracy.

Review images for clarity and accuracy before submitting them for radiologist interpretation.

Educate and guide patients through the mammogram procedure, addressing questions and alleviating anxiety.

Adhere to radiation safety standards, infection control procedures, and HIPAA confidentiality regulations.

Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within PACS or EMR systems.

Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic results.

Participate in continuing education and stay current with ACR, MQSA, and FDA regulations for mammography practices.

Assist in scheduling, tracking, and reporting patient results as part of a comprehensive breast health program.
