About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse - Oncology

Profession : Registered Nurse

Specialty : Medical Oncology-Infusion

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : 8 Hour Days

Hours per Shift : 40

Experience : Minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience

License : Registered Nurse (RN)

Certifications : BLS and chemotherapy certification for infusion clinic; ONS chemotherapy certification required; OCN preferred, but not required

Must-Have :

Chemotherapy infusion experience

Chart checks

Rooming patients : vital signs, weight, review of systems check, medication reconciliation

Description :

General Information :

Beds : Outpatient clinic

Travelers must live more than 100 miles away from the facility.

Permanent staff must wait one full year to return as travelers.

Patient Types : Medical oncology and chemotherapy infusion.

Support on the Unit :

Charge nurse available

Resource Nurse available

Charting System / Equipment : Epic

Med Dispensing : Omnicell

Scheduling : No weekend rotation

No on-call requirements

Holiday expectations : no

Approval for time off is granted.
