Trueline is seeking a Transportation Civil Engineer to join their growing team. Must Haves as the Civil Engineer :
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 2–5+ years of civil engineering experience (entry-level or more experienced candidates welcome)
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong understanding of civil design principles, site development, grading, and utility layout
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with clients, teams, and regulatory agencies
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
What You'll Do as the Civil Engineer :
Support the design of site development projects including roadways, stormwater systems, grading, and utilitiesPrepare construction drawings, calculations, specifications, and permit submittals using AutoCAD Civil 3DPerform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, earthwork calculations, and utility designConduct site research, data collection, and occasional field visitsCoordinate with project managers, CAD designers, surveyors, and clients to ensure project requirements are metAssist in preparing and responding to permit applications and regulatory agency commentsHelp manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring quality controlVerify design computations for conformance with applicable codes and standardsPrepare draft correspondence, technical specifications, reports, and cost estimatesAttend and participate in client meetings and collaborate with utility companies as neededNice to Haves as the Civil Engineer :
Professional Engineer (PE) license or on track for licensureExperience with HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, StormCAD, or similar softwareKnowledge of local permitting processes and regulatory requirementsPrevious experience coordinating with utility companies and review agenciesThis Role Offers :
