Capitol Terminals is seeking qualified gravel train drivers for their Michigan based facilities. Capitol Terminals offers competitive pay (Up to $30.00 / hr) and benefits, as listed below, and is seeking Drivers with strong customer service skills for full-time positions.Job purpose : Primary responsibility of this position requires safely driving a tractor-trailer for the transportation of gravel and like materials, attention to safe loading and unloading at a variety of job sites and maintaining a clean truck both inside and out.Duties and responsibilities :
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspectionsSafely driving truck to and from destination applying knowledge of DOT driving regulations and area roadsHandling truck controls for safe loading and unloading of materialVerify directions with plant personnel before leaving the plant to ensure delivery to the correct customer and job siteStrive to meet customer expectations without exceptionKeep equipment in acceptable condition of cleanliness using approved cleaning materials and suppliesMaintain contact with supervisor / dispatch to receive and transmit delivery instructionsAssist other company employees as neededMust be able to take orders, instructions, and guidance from supervisors and managementCooperate and promote a team concept with all other company employees, as well as customersAdhere to all Company, DOT, and OSHA. rules and regulations at all timesMeet or exceed company safety standardsPerform other job responsibilities as assigned by managementQualifications :
Must possess a valid CDL Class A with doubles endorsement1 year of prior gravel train experienceFlow Boy Experience preferredMust have a clean driving record in the last 5 years and maintain a clean driving record during employmentAbility to pass pre-employment DOT drug screenHigh School diploma, preferredBenefits :
