Position Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager with at least five years of progressive accounting experience to lead our accounting team in the DFW area. This role requires a strong leader with exceptional interpersonal skills to manage daily operations, ensure the integrity of our financial data, and provide strategic financial support to senior management.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Financial Leadership and Team Development :  Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Cross-Functional Communication and Collaboration :  Serve as a key liaison between the accounting department and other departments, translating complex financial information for non-financial stakeholders. Ensure financial insights are effectively integrated into broader business strategies.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis :  Manage the full accounting cycle, including month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and budgets, in accordance with GAAP.
  • Process Improvement :  Identify and implement process improvements and system upgrades to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and control of accounting operations.
  • Compliance and Internal Controls :  Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, reporting requirements, and internal controls. Coordinate annual audits with external auditors.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting :  Manage the company's budgeting and forecasting process, providing actionable insights to leadership for informed decision-making.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing an accounting team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with both team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles.
  • Proficiency in modern accounting software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
