Basic Duties

Perform maintenance, Electronic diagnosis, and repairs to Caterpillar truck engines and Caterpillar vocational trucks, along with O.E.M chassis components.

• Operate A / C recovery machine.
• Repair air brake operations & ABS systems, wheel end components : seals, bearings, and brakes.
• Repair drive train, clutch, transmissions, and differentials.
• Complete engine overhauls : in frame and out of frame (Class 7 & Class 8 vehicles).
• Communicate with customer and supervisor.
• Complete the proper documentation and data.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Payrate : $35.75 - $41.98 per hour

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

Job will generally be performed at Altorfer service facility. This position requires extensive standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping or kneeling, talking and hearing, and using fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls. May lift up to 75 lbs. Will be required to wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields, hearing protection, etc.) when needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
