As the Center Medical Director, you will engage in rewarding patient care while also taking on leadership responsibilities that empower clinical teams and enhance outcomes for vulnerable communities.
The Role :
As the Center Medical Director (CMD), you will play a dual role as both a clinical practitioner and a physician leader. In this dynamic position, you will oversee a multidisciplinary care team while managing a full patient caseload. Collaboration with operations leaders, mentorship of APRNs / PAs, and engagement in quality initiatives will be key as you help extend our clinical excellence and community impact.
What You’ll Do :
- Provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT), including initial evaluations, inductions on Buprenorphine, and ongoing care.
- Supervise and mentor APRNs / PAs, fostering their professional development.
- Lead interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to ensure coordinated care.
- Collaborate with the Center Manager on quality performance metrics like retention and compliance.
- Facilitate complex patient care decisions, including referrals for advanced treatment.
- Engage in provider education and mentoring, with optional academic research involvement.
- Support local referral relationships and build community partnerships.
- Manage clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with EMR standards.
- Work with HR and People Services on provider performance and employee relations.
- Maintain active licensure and complete all necessary credentialing requirements.
Who We’re Looking For :
Board Certified or Board Eligible in a relevant specialty recognized by ABMS or AOA.Fellowship training in Addiction Medicine is preferred but not required.Experience in Family Medicine, Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, OB-GYN, or Emergency Medicine with a focus on addiction is welcome.Active state license and controlled substance registration.Demonstrated leadership experience and a commitment to team-based care.Strong EMR proficiency, communication, and documentation skills.A compassionate, servant-leader mentality with a focus on treating substance use disorders.Why CleanSlate?
