Basic Function Receive all incoming raw materials, log all material taken or returned from inventory to ensure the most cost effective use.

Specific Duties

  • Put all incoming material in proper location verifying receiver to BGS purchase order.
  • Label all incoming material.
  • Keep warehouse and stock on floor in order.
  • Log all material taken and returned from inventory. Notify purchasing of shortage or defect.
  • Maintain inventory to minimize cutoffs and short rolls. Ensure usage of all incorrectly cut material.
  • Pull stock for slitting and sheeting for next shift’s schedule.
  • Assist in the physical inventory count of raw material.
  • Check over new jobs for shortages.
  • Log defective material into quarantine zone.
  • Assist in sheeting and slitting when necessary.
  • Keep the immediate work area clean and orderly.
  • Fill out Daily Inventory sheet
  • Do all other duties as assigned.
