Seeking a Volunteer Content Creator for HI San Francisco Hostels Job at Hostelli

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and creative volunteer to help capture the vibrant atmosphere of our hostel events through photos and videos. As the Volunteer Content Creator, you will play a vital role in capturing the engaging experiences our guests have access to during both in-hostel and out-of-hostel activities, working in close collaboration with the HI USA Social Media Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves social media, has a keen eye for storytelling, and enjoys interacting with diverse communities.

We bring travelers together in the largest hostel network in the USA, with local tours and experiences, experiential learning programs, and a mission to foster cultural understanding. HI USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, member-based organization that reinvests surpluses back into our hostels and programs to create greater impact year after year.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend and document at least 1-2 events per month
• Capture high-quality vertical photos and 10-15 second video clips (beginning, middle, and end) of events
• Ensure videos feature left-to-right panning and highlight guest experience and interaction
• Work within set guidelines for photo and video styles to maintain content consistency
• Note : this position will not be responsible for posting content directly on HI USA social media accounts
