Travel Pediatric Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse - Nights

Location : Syracuse, NY

Duration : 13 weeks

Start Date : 10 / 17 / 2025

Shift : Nights, 12-hour shifts (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM)

Schedule : Every other weekend and some holidays

Position Summary :

HumanEdge Health is seeking experienced Travel Pediatric ED RNs for a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department in Syracuse, NY. This 13-week assignment is exclusively for RNs with substantial Pediatric ED experience. Adult ED experience is a plus, but combined Adult / Pediatric ED experience alone is not sufficient. Candidates must have strong triage skills and formal triage training.

Responsibilities :

Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in an acute care ED setting.

Perform nursing assessments and interventions with minimal supervision following orientation.

Participate in triage and patient flow, ensuring timely and safe care.

Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes.

Accurately document patient care using the hospital's EMR system (EPIC preferred).

Qualifications :

Licensure : Current New York State RN registration

Experience : Minimum 2 years recent Pediatric ED experience within the last 2 years; experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers required

Certifications : BLS (current and recertifiable)

Preferred : EPIC EMR experience, Level 1 or 2 trauma experience

Skills : Strong pediatric triage and acute care assessment skills
