Public Trust z / OS Systems Programmer

A company is looking for a z / OS Mainframe Systems Programmer to provide full lifecycle support for mainframe infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day systems programming support for z / OS and related IBM and third-party products

Install, configure, and upgrade IBM z / OS components and support enterprise servers across multiple generations of processors

Administer and optimize storage management and perform system performance monitoring and tuning

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Recent hands-on experience with z / OS 2.5 and / or z / OS 3.1 within the last 6 months

10+ years of experience as a z / OS Systems Programmer in large enterprise environments

Strong expertise with Sysplex, Coupling Facility, JES2, SMP / E, and other related technologies

Proficiency in COBOL, Assembler, and REXX for utilities and automation
