Janitor - Discharge Cleaner

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor - Discharge Cleaner to provide exceptional customer service and ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met. This role involves maintaining cleanliness in various areas, responding to guest requests, and contributing to a professional and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities :

• Provide quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
• Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
• Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
• Dust and polish furniture and fittings.
• Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
• Empty and clean trash containers and dispose of trash in a sanitary manner.
• Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and wipe down glass surfaces.
• Make up beds and change linens as required.
• Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout.
• Respond to guest queries and requests.
• Address housekeeping issues, such as spills and broken glass.
• Exhibit professionalism and contribute to team efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment :

The role involves cleaning bathrooms, taking out trash, and refreshing common areas across different floors. Each room typically takes 5-7 minutes to refresh. The working hours are 3pm -11 : 30pm, Monday to Friday, with rotating weekends. Employees receive their schedules a month in advance. The dress code includes black pants, a black or grey plain shirt with no logos, and comfortable all-black shoes. Scrubs, jeans, and sweatpants are not permitted.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $15.50 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
