As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. This is an armed and driving post, where you will interact with the public, respond to incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeSat11 : 00 AM - 11 : 30 PMSun11 : 00 AM - 11 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for an armed patrol post.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas within the retail environment to help to deter theft, vandalism, and / or other unwanted activities.
  • Maintain awareness of the surroundings and report any security-related concerns or incidents to Allied Universal management and / or client representatives as required.
  • Assist with access control and verify identification as needed to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding security-related incidents, patrol activities, and / or any unusual occurrences during the shift.
  • Work collaboratively with retail staff, law enforcement, and / or emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possess a current armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Hold a Level III armed certification if required by Texas state law.
  • Maintain a valid CPR certification; this is preferred but not required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
