Base pay range : $87,990.00 / yr $109,935.00 / yr
The State Board of Administration of Florida is seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst to join the Software Development team within the Information Technology department. This position is located in Tallahassee and requires on?site, in?office work.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain computer programs and databases.
- Provide support and troubleshooting of applications, databases, integrations, and enterprise reporting.
- Evaluate business application needs to produce specifications and manage client expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Five years of related experience. A postsecondary degree may be used as an alternative for years of direct experience.Preferences
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, computer engineering, management information systems, mathematics, or a related field.Experience with Microsoft .Net programming languages (e.g., C#, ).Experience with Azure App Development.Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.Experience with Oracle Database.Experience with Power BI and / or other reporting software.Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps.Experience with API calls from application code.Experience with HTML, JSON, XML, and CSS frameworks.Working knowledge of web content management systems (WCMS) and other web?related technologies.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Thorough knowledge of application design, programming, integration, and web?related technologies.Knowledge of application development standards, techniques, technologies, and tools.Knowledge of relational database design, programming, and reporting concepts and tools.Knowledge of system integration techniques and technologies.Skill in complex problem solving related to software and system issues.Skill in critical thinking, logic, and reasoning.Ability to work in a team environment with technical and non?technical peers on assigned projects.Ability to effectively manage time and work independently.Ability to express ideas clearly in written and verbal communications.Ability to follow established software development processes and procedures (e.g., Systems Development Life Cycle process, unit and integration testing, customer issue resolution, change management, etc.).Employment Type
