Pay Information

$2,000 to $2,200 per day

About The Position

A hospital in Virginia is seeking locum Neurohospitalist coverage for multiple short-term periods in 2026. This is a consult-based service covering adult patients in ICU, ED, and general inpatient floors, with 24-hour coverage on a 7-on / 7-off schedule.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Provide inpatient neurohospitalist coverage across ICU, ED, and general medical floors
  • Admit, evaluate, and manage adult neurology patients
  • Perform consults and rounding duties per medical staff bylaws
  • Respond to neuro consults during assigned shifts
  • Perform lumbar punctures as needed
  • On-site coverage approximately 8 hours per day; 24-hour responsibility per shift

Job Requirements

  • Board Certified in Neurology – REQUIRED
  • Active Virginia license (willing to accept candidates needing to obtain VA license) – REQUIRED
  • DEA – REQUIRED
  • BLS & ACLS certifications – REQUIRED
  • Experience with inpatient neurohospitalist responsibilities, consults, and lumbar punctures
