Must-Have :

C-section experience required; must be able to circulate for C-sections.

Experience with both Labor and Delivery and Postpartum is essential.

Description :

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery specialty.

The nurse will work night shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM.

They will float between Labor and Delivery and Postpartum as needed.

The unit includes 9 Labor and Delivery beds and 4 Postpartum beds.

On average, the unit sees approximately 55 births per month.

Candidates must have experience with high-risk deliveries and following birth plans.

Charge nurses do not take on patient assignments but oversee unit operations.

There are OB technicians available on both day and night shifts.

The hospital has a fetal monitoring system in use.

There is an in-house OB / Neonatologist on call, and respiratory therapy is available 24 / 7.

Candidates must adhere to AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios.

Common diagnoses include pregnancies at 34 weeks or longer.

Floating between areas is required, and experience in both is preferred.

Shared responsibilities include working weekends every other week.

No first-time travelers will be considered for this position.

The cancellation policy allows for the hospital to cancel up to four shifts within the 13-week assignment period.

Cerner is utilized for charting purposes.
