Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - $1,876 per week in Florence, SC

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : Minimum of 1 year of experience required, preferably 2 years License : Active state license or Compact license in hand prior to start Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have : Cardiac and Neuro experience required Description : Position : CVICU RN Schedule : 3x12s, Nights, with Holiday Rotation Patient Ratios : 1 : 2 Every other weekend requirement. No on-call requirement. This traveler will need to float within scope to meet facility needs. The traveler is expected to float between like units or sister facilities. Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Experience in cardiac and neuro care is required. Skills needed include managing arterial lines and providing care for ventilated patients. Experience in ECMO care and titration of cardiac drugs is essential. The candidate must be proficient in central venous pressure monitoring. Knowledge of post-operative care for cardiac and neuro surgeries is required. Daily responsibilities will involve monitoring patients in critical condition and responding to emergencies. The nurse will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care. Familiarity with electronic charting systems is preferred. The ideal candidate should be open to accommodating block scheduling upon approval. All requested time off must be communicated at the time of submission. Nurses with SC licenses already issued will be prioritized. Travelers should understand the implications of hurricane season on employment duties. Modules and training requirements will be outlined prior to start. The workforce is primarily adults and geriatric patients requiring intensive care.
