A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. • Work in stepdown unit with floating requirements to other units as needed
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1 : 3 (not guaranteed)
• Care for surgical patients of all types, medical patients of all types, and neurological patients
• Manage vasoactive drip titration including neosynephrine, amiodarone, and cardizem
• Required line management skills : IV insertion, PICC / central line management, vascular device access / care, dialysis fistula care / management, and A-line management
• Required airway management : CPAP / BiPAP and trach care
• Required orthopedic / medical / oncology skills : epidural / PCA pumps, feeding tubes, and wound vac management
• Preferred cardiac skills : obtain 12 lead EKG, sheath removal, cardioversion / defibrillation
• Work with common equipment including bladder scanners, IV pumps, PCA pumps, SCDs, BiPAPs, CPAPs, optiflows, vapotherms, and airvos
