Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a background in thermal and power plant construction.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project management principles, engineering, and construction practices specific to power generation facilities.
This role involves overseeing all phases of construction projects, from planning and design to execution and close-out, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Planning and Execution : Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects for thermal and power plants, ensuring adherence to design specifications, codes, and industry standards.
Budget Management : Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-control measures to ensure financial objectives are met.
Scheduling : Create detailed project schedules, set milestones, and manage resources to meet project deadlines.
Team Leadership : Direct and supervise project teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and site personnel, to ensure successful project completion.
Quality Assurance : Ensure quality control procedures are implemented and followed throughout the construction process.
Risk Management : Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
Client Relations : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental, safety, and health standards.
Reporting : Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience managing construction projects, with a focus on thermal and power plant projects.
Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex projects from inception to completion.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and quality standards specific to power plant construction.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and other relevant tools.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
