Responsibilities Adult and geriatric patient population, with primary diagnoses such as chest pain, shortness of breath, heart failure, and valvular disease Procedures include TEE and structural heart procedures Weekday patient ratio is 1 : 7; weekend patient ratio is 1 : 3 Utilizes Philips Epiq ultrasound equipment and TD 100 probe cleaner Work schedule consists of four 10-hour day shifts, hours varying between 6 : 30 AM and 6 : 30 PM Rotation includes every third weekend May float to provide services at different locations, including both inpatient and outpatient settings Call required, with 1-2 shifts per 6 week period Uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems Responsible for echocardiography imaging, including TEE and assisting with structural heart cases Expected to wear red scrubs while on duty Must be available to work assigned major holidays as per facility policy Up to 7 days of requested time off allowed, not including the first week or major holidays Full compliance with onboarding and orientation modules required before start Travel pairs will not be assigned to the same shift and unit Candidates who were permanent or PRN staff must have been away from facility for at least one year to return as a traveler Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate Requirements Minimum of 1 year recent experience as an Echo Technologist or Cardiac Sonographer Current BLS and either CCI or ARDMS certification required Experience with adult and geriatric populations Ability to perform and assist with TEE and structural heart procedures Familiarity with Philips Epiq ultrasound equipment and related cleaning procedures GA or Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration, if applicable Willingness to float between departments as needed Two supervisory references highly preferred for consideration First-time travelers accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629008.
