In addition to providing startup and warranty support to our construction group, this technician will also support our end-user clients through scheduled maintenance, equipment repair, and equipment replacement projects.
Work start and end time : 7 : 00 am - 5 : 30 pm Monday to Friday (weekends, overtime, and evenings on occasion)
Primary Job Functions :
Performs electrical and mechanical inspection and maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure peak performancePerform specific scheduled maintenance tasks per the scope of work. Including documenting the equipment's operational data with a designed log.Uses experience and technical skills in system operations to determine service requirementsAbility to interpret engineering drawings in reference to layout, location, and operation of the system(s)Represents the company in a positive manner to other trades, contractors, and ownersAdvise the customer of any system issues found. Communicates within our department to provide corrective actions to be takenSuggest solutions beyond repairs that are beneficial to the customerWorks in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfactionSubmits required paperwork in a timely mannerMust work safely daily and ensure that all safety measures are taken at all timesPerforms other duties as assignedWillingness to assist with any additional and reasonable duties assigned by the supervisorFlexibility to work overtime / weekends, as requiredProvide excellent customer service with a positive attitudeAdhere to all company policies and proceduresRequired Qualifications :
A combined five years' experience servicing commercial and residential HVAC unitsMust have a valid driver's license with an insurable driving recordAbility to pass a drug screening and a background checkAbility to work in diverse conditions, including but not limited to mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, exposure to extreme weather conditions, risk of electrical shock (high voltage), climbing / working at elevated heights, etc.Work from a 28' extension ladder and 12', 10', 8'and 6' step ladder.Must be able to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, and must regularly lift and / or move up to 50 poundsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and balance the requirements of multiple and varied dutiesMeet all qualifications and have all the tools required. Including the ability to demonstrate working knowledge of daily, weekly, and monthly skills noted below.Understand and communicate the benefits of preventative maintenance.Demonstrate advanced customer service skills and can communicate clearly, ideas, and explanations of problems to residential and commercial customers and coworkersDemonstrate willingness to accept responsibility and leadership roles.Experience in training and mentoring service technicians.Operate scissors and genie lifts safely.Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsOperating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with hand handheld computer (i.e., Smartphone, iPad)Good written and verbal communication skillsDesired Qualification completion from HVAC Technical Schoolexperienced service technician, service tech, journeyman technician, hvac service, ac, duct, boiler, service hvac jobs
