Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports and promotes safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company policies and compliance requirements.
• Conducts pre?operational risk assessments on new sites, designs, and proposals and implements risk mitigation measures.
• Manages and mentors a team of health and safety professionals within the region.
• Creates a positive partnership with Facility Leadership and serves as point of contact for safety?related matters while ensuring safe work practices.
• Conducts regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions; follows up to ensure implementation.
• Represents DSV with OSHA, EPA, FDA, and other State and Federal regulatory agencies and addresses any issues arising at the site level.
• Fosters teamwork and pride in the company safety program.
• Ensures compliance with local Health, Safety & Environmental laws and customer?specific requirements, including :
