Job description

About the Role

Nordson is seeking a Planning Intern for the Golden Valley site. This candidate will assist in data analysis to create dashboard summaries of all critical materials life cycle for the business. This role will report directly to the Logistics Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions :

Create dashboard to monitor at-risk components to support the life of a product. As-risked component can be shared in multiple Bill of Materials (BOM). Dashboard will include End of Life (EOL) or Last Time Buy components. Work with the Purchasing, Planning, Engineering and Quality departments to resolve current and future electronic component availability issues either through specification of alternative components, Last Time Buys (LTB), or product redesign. Identify and evaluate potential solutions in response to component obsolescence, component quality, or component cost savings opportunities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to prioritize and plan work in a multitasking environment and communicate clearly with cross-functional groups. Flexibility to perform other operations support tasks / projects as needed.

Experience, Education, and Competencies Required :

Working towards bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain or related field. Experience in programs such as Excel, CIP / Silicon Expert, Windchill. Familiarity with using MRP / ERP System, preferably SAP. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional groups and ownership of assigned products and processes. Self-motivated, with the ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects. Detail-oriented individual possessing strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
