Pay incentive for extra shifts

Full-time equivalent = 24 weeks / year

Well-established Hospitalist program and "Top 100 Rural Hospital in America"

162-bed hospital and Level III Trauma Center

Schedule : 7 on 7 off, 12 hour shifts.

Hospitalists will cover Med / Surg & ICU, including ventilator co-management with intensivist, RT, and remote support from Duluth

Current team is 10 physicians and 2 NPs

Opportunity to teach and precept medical and PA students, and for future program leadership

13-16 patients per day, per hospitalist (rounding and admitting)

Average inpatient practice volume per day : Med Surg-50 / ICU-10. Average daily census on unit : 50-60

Home to Marilyn Covey Heart & Vascular Center and St. Joseph's Cancer Center

Certified Primary Stroke Center, co-management with stroke neurology, growing cardiovascular program, and top-performing sepsis care

Hospitalist team runs codes and rapid responses

No procedures required (general surgery performs central lines)

BC / BE Internal Medicine or Hospitalist Residency, or Family Medicine with Hospitalist experience

Current ACLS Required

Option for FCCS course for added critical care education
