Production Technician

Job Summary

The Production Technician will perform any / all duties associated with safe, open pit mining operations.

Essential Functions

• Able to meet the physical demands of the position according to the physical demands analysis.
• Pre-start inspection of equipment and work environment
• Maintain safe work environment and practices
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Work 12 hour rotating shift
• Attend team meetings both on and off shift
• Active participant in the team process by performing team meeting roles, accepting, and completing AIP's and striving for continuous improvement
• Develop relationships conducive to superior performance
• Maintain professional communications with all departments
• Other tasks or projects as assigned
• Comply with company drug and alcohol policy

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skill / Ability

Demonstrated ability to understand key performance indicators (KPI's) and make adjustments to meet them

Demonstrated ability to maintain a safe work environment, equipment and facilities

Possess effective communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)

Demonstrated ability to make quality decisions and interact effectively with fellow employees, vendors, and outside regulatory officials

Self-directed and motivated

Handles change constructively

Demonstrates a sense of urgency

Strong organizational skills

Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationship development and can effectively work in a team culture

Preferred

High school diploma or GED

Current MSHA 5000-23 certification

Previous heavy equipment operating experience
