Experience :

• 12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required from any number of months.

Additional Details :

Scheduling : Expected to work every other weekend, every other holiday where applicable.

Block booking and Schedule patterns are based on department needs.

Guaranteed Hours : 36

Guaranteed hours will not apply during orientation

Completion and graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.

Work requires six to ten weeks unit-specific orientation and on-the-job training to learn department / unit policies, procedures and work routines; to develop proficiency in use of medical equipment and instruments used on assigned unit; to learn nursing care and quality assurance standards; and gain an understanding of the types of patients cared for on unit, their needs, and effective nursing interventions.
