Biomed Service Specialist - Field Technician

Overview

DaVita has an open position for a Biomedical Services Specialist who keeps our life-giving dialysis treatments "up and running" every day in our clinics. This role primarily covers the Fullerton, CA area and includes on-call pay, mileage reimbursement, and additional travel pay if outside your designated area.

Responsibilities

Repair and regularly service dialysis machines; ensure clinics operate smoothly and treatments remain available to patients.

What You'll Do

Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues, troubleshoot using computer tools, and perform necessary maintenance and repairs. You will be part of a team that values work-life balance and supports personal and professional growth.

Qualifications

Required : High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent; valid driver's license; close proximity to clinics and hospitals in the area for emergency coverage; willingness to participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Preferred : Mechanical abilities, repairs experience, strong electronics knowledge and diagnostics; prior experience in a similar role or demonstrated aptitude. We will train and certify the right candidate for the role.

Skills : Good communications, tech-savvy with troubleshooting ability, solid computer skills (MS Office : Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet use. Training will be provided on DaVita tools; candidate should have solid internet navigation and MS Office skills.

Other : On-call rotations as needed to meet clinic needs. Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required by hospitals in this program, which may include a booster when eligible.

Compensation details : Wage range listed as $31.00-$37.50 per hour. Compensation for the role will depend on qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.

Location & Travel

Primary location : Fullerton, CA area. On-call duties and travel between clinics may be required as part of the role.
