Our residential support professionals (RSP) help to enable individuals with intellectual / developmental disabilities to achieve their desired quality of life. You will provide continuous care and supports to children in a home environment by assisting in developing the skills needed to live as autonomously as possible while maintaining safety while utilizing client centered supports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
The Residential Support Professional is responsible for providing direct care for Intellectual / Developmentally Disabled children with behavior challenges and medical conditions. Duties include but are not limited to :
Medication administrationPerforming nurse delegated tasksProvide assistance with activities of daily living / personal caresPrepare meals according to physician ordered diet plansAssist clients in eating according to ISP / NCP (If applicable)Accurate documentation in accordance with company policies and OARsKnowledge of and implementation of BSPKnowledge of and implementation of ISP and other related client support plans / documentsIndividualized engagement with creative in-home activitiesPromoting physical and emotional safetyPromoting autonomy as safety allowsAccompany clients on outings for community involvementAccompany clients on medical appointmentsResponding to medical emergencies as neededResponding to behavioral crisisTeaching and encourage positive coping skills in accordance with individualized support plans aimed at family reunificationObtaining client vital signsFacilitating schoolwork and virtual learningAll other duties as assignedSoft Skill Job Standards
