Base pay rate : $120,000 - $135,000 D.O.E.

As part of this effort, we have created several in-house web applications to serve our laboratory staff, providing them with customized and highly efficient workflow and information management systems.

- Develop features and enhancements for a mature product that is currently driving day-to-day operations
- Support evolving healthcare regulatory requirements
- Refactoring of the legacy codebase to maintain future scalability

Planning and Design : Take a lead role in planning, with a focus on ensuring each developer on the team understands the design & implementation decisions and how to apply themCollaborate with product owners early in the planning process to help guide architectural decisions that will lead to more stability and sustainable designCollaborate with peers and key stakeholders to create conceptual designs for new software applications and upgrades to existing software applicationsAssign complexity estimations to featuresCommunicate business cases, requirements, project plans and project status to all levels of the organization.Application Development & Testing : Deliver clean, readable code that meets requirementsBe a standard bearer for team standards of development practicesProvide appropriate documentation of development workCollaborate with teammates on every taskSubject all features to manual testing to ensure acceptance criteria are met with a focus on user experienceCoordinate peer reviews on every taskSupport and Maintenance : Work with support teams to understand and triage defects as they ariseParticipate in efforts to reduce technical debtBe available to address emergency issues in a 24 / 7 healthcare environmentManagement : Acts as the lead of the engineers on the data warehouse team including : Assignment of ad hoc and recurring data mining requestsDatabase systems supportSet team and individual objectives in line with departmental and company objectivesProvide subject matter expertise to the teamMentor and develop talent with career development plansConduct staff performance reviewsShares responsibility with the IT manager for continuous quality improvement for IT and related areasWorks with the IT manager and other leads to assure adequate training of new staffCulture and Team Development : Set the tone for mentorship of all team membersActively seek out opportunities to improve the team dynamicMaintain a focus on breaking down silosFoster an environment of fluid collaborationEnsure that all data communications are secure as required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996Scheduled Weekly Hours :
