The Role

We’re looking for a sharp, data-driven professional to join FreshCut Paper as a Senior Financial Analyst, combining strong financial acumen with strategic business insight. Reporting to the Controller, this role blends traditional financial analysis with business analytics, giving you the opportunity to work across budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting while also uncovering insights that shape business decisions.

You’ll analyze operational data, sales performance, and customer behavior to identify trends and opportunities that drive growth and efficiency. With FreshCut Paper’s fast-growing presence across ecommerce, Amazon, and retail partners nationwide, your work will play a critical role in guiding strategy across an omni-channel brand.

Financial Analysis and Planning

  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making.
  • Run scenario analyses with various assumptions and provide recommendations for maximizing financial results.
  • Partner with the Controller on monthly reporting and internal presentations.
  • Track KPIs for revenue, profitability, inventory, and cash flow.

Business Analysis and Insights

  • Analyze sales, channel performance (web, Amazon, wholesale), and customer data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Evaluate pricing, promotions, and marketing ROI.
  • Support supply chain and inventory planning with financial / operational insights.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and sales teams to align financial metrics with business goals.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with at least two years of experience in a similar type role or experience in a role with financial modeling at a high growth company.
  • Experience in eCommerce, consumer products, or retail.
  • Strong understanding of Financial Statements and the relationships between different components of the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Expertise with NetSuite a plus.
  • Ability to work independently or cross-functionally.
  • Strong communication skills to present findings clearly to both finance and non-finance teams.
