Lead Direct Care Advocate

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadershipCoach and support staff in leading resident activities and teaching daily living skills.Oversee administrative tasks such as participant schedules, chores, medication logs, incident reporting, and room checks.Assist with onboarding and training new staff and residential volunteers.Program Service DeliveryProvide shift coverage (up to 75 hours biweekly, including weekends).Maintain structure and security within the home and ensure residents follow program guidelines.Model healthy, trauma-informed, and Christ-centered behavior.Provide transportation for residents and ensure vehicle safety.Support participants case plans and goals in collaboration with the treatment team.Manage documentation : shift logs, incident reports, medication logs, and room checks.Oversee facility maintenance, food inventory, and safety drills.Assist with medical appointments, medication oversight, and random drug screens.Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and retreats.Maintain confidentiality and provide culturally competent, nonjudgmental care.GoalsUphold Samaritan Villages mission, vision, and values.Ensure a safe and supportive home environment.Build strong, respectful relationships with residents and staff.Model healthy boundaries and professional ethics.Provide crisis intervention and compassionate support when needed.Essential SkillsSelf-motivated, organized, and dependable.Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities.Sound judgment, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.Compassionate, trauma-informed approach.Discretion and respect for confidentiality.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; higher education in social work, human services, or counseling preferred.Minimum 1 year of experience working with survivors of trauma, addiction, or exploitation.Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.Flexibility to work overnights, weekends, and holidays.Must pass background checks and hold a valid drivers license with insurance.Current First Aid / CPR certification.Ability to lift, bend, and move freely.Three references (two professional, one personal) required.
